Post New Farm
I started this nearly a year ago, barely finished the path today. I can't figure out how to finish the design though. I wanted to do the whole thing black and white, but I couldn't find enough variety in black items. So now my only idea is to fill the spaces with really bright colors. Any ideas? I'm hopelessly lost :(

I personally always like black/white, and blue or other vivid cool colors in combination. There are certainly enough neat blue items that you could do something with that. Or else orange/red if you prefer warm colors.
Maybe in geometric patterns, like tiled scalloping or something (like on "embroidered" looking paper towels).

This is gorgeous! That path is awesome - good on you for actually completing it! As the previous comment says, if you want cold colors I'd go with blue - forget me nots or blue fungus?

Or warm - red and yellow

Or even just putting rare items (Twilight's vine especially) there so it glows against the black ground?

The path is really neat, and it looks like it took quite a while to finish!

I'd try what BlueZebra and CaleCorvus suggested. Blues or other darker colors, if not black since there really isn't much of those, would probably go well with where the design is going so far. I really liked what CaleCorvus said about filling it in with geometric patterns, mostly because the design is regular in shape so far, and geometric patterns would help bring that out.
