Post 20 Generations
I've just recently started working on my very first sub-hope and I'm so excited! I've read the sub-breed rules, but I'm not sure if I know exactly what's expected when it says "20 generations of perfect specimens." I understand what a generation is, but is there a specific number of offspring that needs to be bred in each one in order to ensure that it's perfect?

Any other words of advice would also be greatly appreciated! I'm not really sure how to go about this whole thing.

20 generations means that you start with 2 identical creatures, breed them together until you get identical male and female offspring, breed those together, until you have 20 generations of creatures that are completely identical in every way.

There will be "culls" in a lot of the generations. We say 20 generations because that is the point where a line of creatures starts to breed true, meaning that after 20 identical generations, *all* offspring will start being identical.

A question, because I may be making a lot more work for myself than I have to...

Can a generation be counted if one of the creature's siblings in wrong?

For example - I breed 2 bears 3 times, and get baby A, B, and C. If baby A and B are perfect (and breed true), does it matter if baby C is wrong?

If so...I've been breeding WAY more than I have to. I only submit after I have 20 gens of absolutely perfect creatures - with no siblings that are wrong. XD

Next question, hadley, where did you get the subbreeding badge in your sig?

It doesn't matter that baby C is wrong as long as baby A and B are totally identical.

I got the badge from the SBS page. People were supposed to put it in their signature if they tell someone else about the SBS topic.

Thanks hadleyelizabeth for clearing that up for me! I'm relieved to hear that.

Mama4Liberty...I'm sure you are as well. XD Good luck on all your future subs, by the way!
